Even though the war did not end communism the Korean war was successful in containing communism because the war prevented the total take over of communism in Korea because of the intervention of the United Nations, it split Korea into two equal parts, one country pro-communist, and the other country anti-communist. The war also stopped the Soviet Union from expanding their territory and political orders. The result of this war also made people realize how the United Nations can have a positive impact on controlling major conflicts in the world and prevent them from happening again in the future.
